Description |
| This Riedel Vinum Bordeaux stemware set is an amazing value at 8 glasses for the cost of 6. The glasses in this set of eight were specifically formed to highlight the fruit in full-bodied red wines together with high levels of tannin, such as Bordeaux, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja, and Tempranillo. The design of the Bordeaux bowl directs the wine to the region of the palate this perceives sweetness, emphasizing the fruit and mellowing the acidity or any rough edges, while the large bowls offer room for the wine's rich bouquet to unfold. Every glass stands 8-7/8 inches high. Riedel is the world's premier manufacturer of wine glasses. Made of lead crystal, the Vinum glasses are Riedel's much popular series and were the first machine-made wine glasses to be developed uniquely for every type of wine. Since their introduction in 1986, these wine glasses have had a large influence on the wine culture, and wine lovers all-around the globe. |

Lovely feel, and makes wine taste better, But 2010-02-11 |
| By Frank T. Steele (Phoenix, AZ USA) |
| Lovely feel, and makes wine taste better, But, man are they fragile. If you want the EXACT same shape (maybe a little thicker crystal in some places) try the Schott Zwiesel Forte's. The Bordeaux is exactly like the Vinum Bordeaux, but cheaper and a LOT more sturdy. |
perfect quality ... for a price. 2010-02-07 |
| By Myron A. Pozniak (Madison, WI, USA) |
Not your everyday wine glass. When you get these you virtualy commit to handwashing ... unless you have money to burn. But it is nice to hold good wine in a classy glass.
Does the glass make the wine taste better? ... c'mon ... It's just glass. |

| We are adding to our assortment of glassware and have become spoiled to using a better glass as well as making sure we offer this to our friends. It does matter what wine glass you use and you will not be disappointed with this Riedel glass. Enjoy! |
Wine just tastes better! 2009-01-13 |

| No better glass to enjoy fine wine. Standard in the industry. Quite fragile, however. Fine in dishwasher, but space widely and use product specific support device. |
